  • I've tried the Crossbow but not the Switchblade as I don't believe it was out during the summer. Did you order it before trying it? I also tried the Globerider Sonic, which and liked it better than the Crossbow because it didn't have the constant "pull your arms out of your socket" feeling on strong winds ;-) Would love to hear your thoughts on this Switchblade. I'm also looking to try to the new Slingshot Turbo Diesel, as it's also a bow kite. Lots of new stuff coming for the 2006 season :-)
    • Hi there, I guess it took awhile to respond, but it has been one hell of a holidays!!
I now have the 12 and 16 Switchblade, I've been overpowered on both kites at times and feel like I'm hangin on to the max, I can't pull the strap when I'm that powered up, I have to slow down or stop to adjust. But I like both kites, the 12 is like a sportscar compared to the 16, but both have lots of power, move fast through the window if you pull in on the bar, and seem to absorb the gusts well.
      • Interesting, your description sounds a lot like the Crossbow. My issue w/these kites is that while the ride is exciting, I don't being able to stay out for a two hour sesh w/o feeling like my arms will drop. This wasn't the case w/the Globerider Sonic, but I'm also going to try the Slingshot Turbo Diesel to see what that's like. After all this, I'm also considering testing out the RRD Type Wave as all the people I know love it in the waves and for kite loops, and heck, ain't that where all the fun is? :-)
