You're off to a good start by promoting, mentioning and getting into the conversation in forums like this one. Sadly, this kitesurfing forum isn't as active as you need it to be, nor very viral. Consider also posting about this in BayAreaKiteboarding.com and iWindsurf.com. Next, you might want to invite a set of adventurous bloggers to a free session if they promise to blog about their experience. I'm guessing that it's not very likely that someone who has experienced your service will blog negatively about it...I know I wouldn't ;)

Promoting this where extreme athletes hang out is also a good idea. Skate parks, hanglider stores/offices where there's a bulletin board. Consider starting an affiliate program and get windsurfing and kitesurfing gear stores promoting the service w/brochures and discount redeemable coupons for people's first try. I don't think it will take you too long to get the word out as this looks like a blast. Now get the facility open already so we can go play :)

Hello I'm new to the tribe and very new to owning my own business. Prior Biz Dev Mgr at HP in Silicon Valley now gone
wind tunnel owner...
It's a totally cool, safe and INCREDIBLE business to experience human flight WITHOUT the danger of skydiving! Check us out at: www.iFlySFBay.com We fly everyone 3yrs to 93yrs!

Here's the question...how do I promote it in the internet space? MySpace? Google Ad's, Yahoo postings? Mass emails?

I am working on a limited budget (like everyone I know...) planning printed ads, news events for the launch, VIP tours, etc but am really not sure about what the "best practices" are for internet publicity?

Any ideas?

Thank you, Kent Sessions
